The long awaited project of Dr.John Joseph Foundation is AHAVA (Abode of Happiness, Affection, Virtues and Aspirations) Home and a shelter for the abandoned children. A safe haven for the deprived children. An atmosphere where they are cared for their basic needs, education, health and all the required development for their normal growth. The name was derived from the Hebrew word AHAVA, which means love. Truly as the name goes for this project, the children are showered with love. This project was started on May 29th, 2010. We had Mr.Amaresh Pujari, I.P.S(Training) for the Inauguration.

AHAVA is located at No, 1 Appavu Avenue, Mandapam Road, Kilpauk, Chennai – 600 010.We have the infrastructure that has accommodated 7 children with all necessary facilities. Sukumar (12 years), Yogaraj (11 years), Prakash (10 years), Yabesh (8 years), Madesh (6 years), Manish (6 years), Hariprasad (6 years). They are the seven stars of AHAVA .They came as an exile from different parts of TamilNadu. Now they live together as one family. These kids deserve to be given good and proper care, love and support. We concentrate on developing their interpersonal skills, teaching them good moral values. To support them with nutritional diet and proper medical assistance, building a joyful atmosphere of happiness, health, hope and confidence. To stabilize them with appropriate guidance, making them emotionally strong and mentally stable. We have a warden Ms.Susheela who takes care of them and a cook to prepare nutritious food.
