Foundation was launched on 1st November 2008.We work among the less fortunate kids who strive hard to come up in life. The organisation has got two wings -
Educational Support Group (Wing 1) Here we focus on the academic attainment in education of a Student by providing scholarship. The foundation was able to create a support system for 10 such potential Children and we are intending to continue this scholarship till they complete their schooling.
AHAVA (Wing 2)a safe haven for the deprived children. An atmosphere where they are cared for their basic needs, education, health and all the required development for their normal growth. The name was derived from the Hebrew word Ahava, which means love. Truly as the name goes for this project, the children are showered with love. There are seven children who are in this wing. The kids who are tagged in this wing, not only receive the educational support, but they also get food, clothing and shelter. This project was started on May 29th, 2010. We had Mr.Amaresh Pujari, I.P.S(Training) for the Inaugration.
We accomplish our dreams by individual donors who go beyond giving money to find ways to leverage their time, talents, and connections to advance the causes they care about.
Dr.John Joseph Foundation envisages in creating a perspicacious awareness in the society where the right of the child to education is respected.
Our activities for the year is scheduled as follows –
April/ May every year we would aim to train the children in soccer
May – we also celebrate the launch of Ahava
October/November – Anniversary celebrations
December – Christmas celebrations. The foundation ensures to provide freebies for 200 children who are below the poverty line in Tamil Nadu.
Mission is to train the children to become better citizens of the society. To impart quality education that is at par with the world to help them improve their knowledge. And to make them feel valued and have a sense of purpose in life.
Vision Every 30 seconds two children become orphans. There are more than 100 million orphans worldwide. There are an estimated 65 million orphans in Asia alone.
Today, there are millions of children in underdeveloped countries who have no parents, food, clothing, or access to medical or emotional care. While the majority of these children are dying from malnutrition, their living conditions are so poor that even diaper rash can be deadly. This situation is not isolated; in fact, it is growing at an ever-increasing pace.
Dr. John Joseph foundation focuses around the creation of an orphanage for some of the young children who have come upon hard times. This orphanage is being planned to be built initially for children with a heavenly atmosphere where they will receive not only food and shelter but also education and training which will help them to become productive members of this society.
The vision of our foundation is to transform the life of abandoned children. Our goal is to take these children in, care for them, clothe them, educate them and love them. The foundation will strive to provide these children with a clean, safe and nurturing environment.
Who runs?
Churchill Joseph, the adopted son of Rev. Dr. John Joseph was brought up under the watchful and caring eyes of the great man, and he was his guide to him in all ways till he was called to Heavenly Abode.
In the year 1980, he and his mother were isolated by his father for inexplicable reasons in Chennai,India. For 6 months his mother was on relentless pressure working as a maid in a house to make the 1 year-old baby survive, whilst facing severe humiliation. After 6 months, there was turning point in their life. It was then they met Rev. Dr. John Joseph in the house where they were staying. On seeing the mother and the child, the benevolent servant of God adopted them and they became members of his respected family. After his education he became so much involved in Church activities. He now is:

It has always been a desire for Dr. John Joseph to start a place to help the downtrodden children and help the poor and needy. Churchill has been under the guidance of Dr. John Joseph which developed him to get the idea to start this foundation for a noble cause. As, Churchill's mother has told him the difficult situations that she went through in bringing him up, he has always had the urge right from his school days to help children with no support.
